The firing or discharging of firearms within the limits of the city is prohibited. Every person who violates this provision by firing or discharging a firearm within the limits of the city is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be subject to a fine of not more than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment for a period of not more than six months, or both.
