A. Every person renewing a business license shall be required to pay a license tax based upon gross sales in such amounts and upon such conditions as may be, from time to time, set by the city council by resolution for this purpose.

B. Every person who operates a circus, menagerie or carnival or a dog or pony or tent show or is a peddler or solicitor or operator of a taxicab shall be required to pay a license tax or fee as may, from time to time, be set by the city council by resolution for this purpose.
