“Abandoned” means an aircraft that is left sitting outside of a hangar on the Montague-Yreka Airport and/or for which no storage fees have been paid for at least three consecutive months by the owner/ operator.

“Aircraft” means a device that is used, or intended to be used, for flight in the air. It includes airplanes, helicopters and gliders, and lighter-than-air-devices such as blimps or balloons, but does not include hang gliders.

“Airport” means the Montague-Yreka Airport, its buildings and facilities, all lands owned by the city contiguous to the airport, including airspace above such land and the designated approaches thereto.

“Manager,” as used in this chapter, means the City Clerk of the City of Montague, or his/her designee.

“Person” means an individual, firm, partnership, corporation, company, association, joint-stock association, or governmental entity, and includes a trustee, receiver, assignee, or similar representative of any of them. (Ord. 11-01, 2012)
