Canopy signs shall be placed only upon canopies which have been lawfully constructed and maintained; the advertising surface of a canopy sign shall not extend below the canopy border. Only appurtenant signs are permitted to be erected, displayed or maintained upon canopies. (Ord. 89-3 (part), 1989)
